If you are planning to buy a
new phone under a budget of 10,000 to 11,000 rupees then you might consider
POCO M3 or Redmi 9 power. Both are really good in their price range. Both have
some similarities and dissimilarities. So, let’s get started.
Performance:
9 power and M3 both are
powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 which is powerful enough to do your day-to-day
task. The GPU used in these phones is Adreno 610 which can run any modern game
titles under medium to low settings. Considering the price, both phones are
equally good in terms of performance.
Camera:
POCO M3 comes with a triple
camera layout which possesses a 48mp primary(f/1.79) and 2mp depth and 2mp
macro camera. With an 8mp front camera
Comes to Redmi 9 power
company provides you a quad rear camera setup with a 48mp main camera (aperture
isn’t mentioned on the official website), 8mp ultrawide camera (120˚ FOV). 2mp
depth and 2mp macro camera. Along with an 8mp front camera.
Winner:
You can click almost
the same photos with both the cameras but 9 power wins this round with the help
of an ultra-wide camera and it is a really useful an sensor
Design:
M3 is really good with its
modern and refresh looking design. It seems like a leather finish with a wide
camera module. The front looks average for its waterdrop style notch display
but in 2021 it seems kind of outdated due to the absence of a punch hole. This
phone is 9.6mm thick and 197 grams heavy
9 power is a bit low with its
design for the giant Redmi logo but the camera module looks premium with its
glass-like finish. The front of this phone goes the same as the M3. The weight
and thickness of the phone are almost the same as M3 198 grams and
9.6mm.
Winner:
If I was there then I
would’ve chosen POCO M3 cause trust me the giant Redmi branding on the back
doesn’t really look good.
Battery:
POCO M3 is powered by a
humongous 6000mah battery and it comes with an 18w charger included in the box.
Redmi 9 power is equal in
terms of battery capacity but it includes a 22.5w charger in the box but it
only supports 18w capacity so the 22.5w is quite useless.
Winner:
Both phones provide us with
the same battery and charging capacity. So, we can say that each phone is
equally similar to making your phone run the whole day.
Display:
POCO M3 comes with a 60hz
FHD+ IPS display with 400-nit brightness which is okay enough to be visible in
harsh sunlight conditions, although we are talking about a mid-range phone so
don’t expect a 12,000-nit sick brightness. The pixel density is 395ppi and it
is protected by a corning gorilla glass 3.
Redmi 9 power has also the
same display specification as the POCO M3 has.
Winner:
You can go with any display
both are equivalent.
Final conclusion:
In the end we can say that
both phones are twins with some minor dissimilarities you can grab any phone as
your daily driver. But I would suggest you to buy the Redmi 9 prime cause that
provides more price to performance ratio.
